Friends, Lovers,Chocolate

The rest of the series, including Friends Lovers and Chocolate, The right attitude to rain, The Careful use of compliments, The comfort of saturdays.
It didnt take long the read these, but thoroughly enjoyed them. Just as I'd finished the careful use of compliments I was given the next one for christmas. Perfect timing!
Now up to date with the series, looking forward to the next one.

The Sunday Philosophy Club

From the author of "Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency". Thought I'd try one of his other series'.
I enjoyed this book overall but it was abit slow in places. Started off well with lots going on, then seemed to just be padding out with not alot of progression to the story. Later on it picks up again and the end also gets more interesting.
The main character is compared to Mne Ramotswa (of No 1 Ladies), but I didnt see any comparison.
Nethertheless, it was an enjoyable book and I will continue on with this series.

Too Close to Home

This book is by the same author as No Time for Goodbye, which I really enjoyed.
I enjoyed this one just as much as the other one, a good twist at the end, which I didnt see coming, it kept me guessing till the very end. Clever plot and well written.
Recommended.

Unseen Accademials

Next book, coming out tomorrow!
Terry is still on form and writing great books! Not really into football, atall actually, but is was still a good, clever, funny read. I have to say it's not up at the top with my favourites but still worth a read!

Slumdog Millionaire

Bought this awhile ago, wasn't really that bothered about reading it but needed the shelf space!
I liked the idea and the way it was written, but there were no surprises. Haven't seen the film but knew roughly what it was about and there were no twists and nothing particulary that made you want to keep reading.
Overall, an ok book, one I can get rid of now!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.

Next Book.

Been meaning to read this for ages. Does it deserve the hype?

Read this in an afternoon, but that doesn't detract from the clever, well written story.
Not a book I'd read again but glad I took the time to read it. Gives you an insight into the mind of children with Asbergers and was very thought provoking.
Enjoyed the book and would recommend it!

The 2 1/2 Pillars of Wisdom

Given this book to try as I like the Ladies Detective Agency Books and it's the same
author.
Was a little sceptical at first, but really enjoyed this book. Very witty and well written and an interesting storyline.

It has made me consider reading some of his other work, which is always a good review for someone's book!
