The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.

Next Book.

Been meaning to read this for ages. Does it deserve the hype?

Read this in an afternoon, but that doesn't detract from the clever, well written story.
Not a book I'd read again but glad I took the time to read it. Gives you an insight into the mind of children with Asbergers and was very thought provoking.
Enjoyed the book and would recommend it!

The 2 1/2 Pillars of Wisdom

Given this book to try as I like the Ladies Detective Agency Books and it's the same
author.
Was a little sceptical at first, but really enjoyed this book. Very witty and well written and an interesting storyline.

It has made me consider reading some of his other work, which is always a good review for someone's book!

Restoration

Nearly gave up with this one but perservered just in the hope it got better. It didn't. Could have been alot better, the idea was good and well written but didn't like the main character so wasn't fussed what happened to him.
An average historical fiction book, wouldn't recommend but was ok.

The Forgotten Garden

This book has got to be up at the top of the list for my favourite type of story!
It's got everything I like, a secret garden, cottage on a cliff edge, family mystery and an old creepy house.
Really enjoyed this book, very descriptive and full of intrigue. Was genuinely sad to finish this book.
A long read but well worth it!

The Secret Life of Bees

Really enjoyed this book, only took a couple days to read but that doesn't mean it was a light read. Well written and captivating. Slightly dissapointed with the predictable ending but still worth reading.
Was waiting to read the book before I saw the film, will try to see the film now as I am interested to see if my images of the Pink Bee House are anywhere the same as the film!

Recommended.

The Life of Pi

Not sure how to review this book, without giving too much away. I did enjoy it, although like nothing i've read before. A 16 year old boy is the sole survivor of the sinking of a cargo ship. He was heading to Canada for a new life with his family, taking numerous animals from their old zoo with them. This story shows the determination against the odds of this boy, combined with his faith and knowledge of different religions, to survive on a lifeboat for 227 days, with a tiger!

An interesting read, would recommend it.
